ABOUT
ANDREA FIAMENGHI
Andrea Fiamenghi is a Brazilian photographer with over 20 years of experience. Her work captures sacred rituals and daily life at Ilê Axé Opô Aganjú, a renowned Candomblé terreiro in Bahia, creating a powerful visual archive of Afro-Brazilian culture.
Since 2003, her photographs have been featured in exhibitions across Brazil and internationally—in cities like Paris and Lisbon—and are part of permanent collections at institutions such as the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes (RJ) and Museu Afro Brasil (SP). Andrea has exhibited alongside iconic artists like Mario Cravo Neto and Claudia Andujar, under the curatorship of Paulo Herkenhoff and Emanoel Araújo.
Deeply influenced by literature, philosophy, and memory, her images blend aesthetic precision with spiritual intensity—revealing the beauty, force, and mystery of life in Bahia.
